For the last couple of years, the folks at Columbia Sportswear have been trying to one-up its Star Wars-themed winter apparel line with new designs. This season, the winter drip has never been better, from Boba Fett's inimitable style to Luke Skywalker's famous flight gear. Columbia has even joined the dark side with a new line styled after one of the most iconic villains of all time and outerwear for just about every planet in the Empire.

Previous Star Wars lines from Columbia have offered fans a way to loudly show off their love of this universe, much of the Vader collection leans toward subtlety. For example, there's a pair of $200 snow boots with the Imperial seal on them and that classic glossy black, but it's unlikely most folks would recognize it as Star Wars until you removed your foot and revealed the glossy crimson stylings on the interior. The half-zip tech jacket -- a nice, thin material for folks who consider 50 degrees cold -- really only shows its Star Wars street cred when the reflective material is hit with the right light, and the cross-body bag doesn't reveal its Vader stylings until you unzip the front pocket and remove it. If you're a fan of subtle, you've got some real options here.

Columbia Sportswear's Darth Vader Collection

The full Vader collection from Columbia Sportswear became available Dec. 5.

Columbia Sportswear

The star of the show each year is the big winter coat and this time Columbia has gone with a 3L interchange jacket. The arms zip off if you'd like it to be a vest, and all parts of the jacket have Columbia's heat-reflective tech in a brilliant red. You'll find classic Vader stylings everywhere you look inside the jacket. You can pick up the standard version of this jacket for $600 this year, or try to get your hands on a limited-edition one autographed by Hayden Christensen for $2,000. As we all know, Christensen loves the younglings, so the proceeds from every autographed jacket will be donated to Make-A-Wish, up to $50,000.
