If you've already signed up for Starlink as your internet provider, select residential users get a serious perk: a free Starlink Mini, provided as a rental bundled with your existing plan. I was personally offered this deal, and it’s one of the more interesting rewards I’ve seen from a company.

The offer includes a Starlink Mini Kit for $0. It's available to loyal customers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Starlink will send you an email if you're eligible for the promotion. Make sure you click the link sooner rather than later, as this deal is available to redeem through Nov. 25, 2025.

The catch? Once activated, the Mini goes into standby mode for a small monthly fee of $4.50, which includes unlimited low-speed data for emergencies or basic connectivity. You can upgrade to the standard Roam package if you'd like from $50 per month. Note that if you stop paying for standby mode you will have to return the Starlink Mini.

What makes the Starlink Mini appealing is its portability. It lets you take the same high-speed internet from a residential Starlink dish practically anywhere. The Mini includes an integrated router, so there’s no need for extra gear.

If you're a residential customer, it can instantly switch between backup and roaming use. It sits in standby mode until you want to take it camping, on a road trip, or even on a boat.

The Starlink Mini is built to fit in a large purse or backpack and includes a DC power output. You use the device simply by plugging it into a power source and ensuring it faces the sky. Then you can surf the internet with speeds up to 250 Mbps, perfect for completing any task or communicating with loved ones.

Why this deal matters

This $0 Starlink Mini promotion feels like a meaningful thank-you to early adopters. Even though it’s technically a rental tied to your residential plan, the ability to get portable internet for the cost of a low monthly standby fee makes it a standout offer.

For eligible customers, it’s essentially a no-risk way to expand connectivity far beyond the home -- and that makes it one of the most practical deals Starlink has rolled out yet.
