Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Kids is available for just $220 right now, which knocks $50 off the original $270 price. That’s one of the lowest widely available prices we’ve seen for the Kids bundle so far. The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Kids is one of the newest additions to Amazon’s Kindle lineup. The bundle includes the device, a kid-friendly cover and a full year of Amazon Kids Plus. If you’ve been waiting to grab a Kindle for your kid, this might be the deal to jump on.

Unlike older Kindle Kids models that only showed black and white text, the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Kids adds a color E Ink display, so comics, graphic novels and illustrated books finally appear the way they’re meant to, instead of in shades of gray.

For $220, the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Kids bundle includes the e-reader with 16GB of storage, which is more than enough space to hold thousands of e-books and illustrated storybooks at once. Along with the device, you also get a kid-friendly protective cover, one year of Amazon Kids Plus with access to thousands of books and audiobooks and a two-year worry-free guarantee that replaces the device if it breaks, giving parents extra peace of mind.

It’s also cheaper than Amazon’s original color Kindle. This model uses the same core display technology introduced in Amazon’s earlier color Kindle lineup, but comes at a slightly more accessible price point. So while it technically costs a little more than the base model, the bundle makes it a better value if you’re buying for a child.

It also has a splash-resistant design for reading anywhere, while parents can manage content, set bedtime limits and track activity through the Amazon Parent Dashboard. With Amazon Kids Plus, kids also get access to popular titles including the Harry Potter series and Artemis Fowl, all without the games, ads or videos you’d typically find on a tablet.
