Apple's earbuds have been on our best earbuds lists for several years, so we expected no less with the AirPods 4. These buds feature a compact design and impressive audio quality. But like most Apple products, if we were going to come up with one negative, it would have to be the price.
AirPods 4 normally start at $129, but the good news is that there are sometimes deals that slash that price considerably. Some retailers are currently offering some notable discounts -- but you'll need to act fast because there's no guarantee they'll last for long.
In his full review of the AirPods 4, CNET's audio expert David Carnoy notes that in both models (with and without active noise cancellation), "the sound is a little cleaner (improved treble), and you get a bit more bass, so there's a touch more depth and fullness." He also says that the high-end AirPods 4 are the first open earbuds he's tried that have "active noise canceling that actually works."

Amazon is offering the AirPods 4 with ANC for $155 right now, saving you $24. If you don't want the ANC options, the standard version is even cheaper at $119, saving you about 10 bucks. It's not the lowest price we've seen but still an impressive deal.
Target isn't offering any direct discounts, but you'll instantly save 5% if you make the purchase with your Target Circle Card.*
You can order the AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with ANC from the Apple Store. You can also get free engraving when you order your AirPods 4 from the Apple Store. Plus, Apple will give you three free months of Apple Music with your purchase, if you're a new or returning subscriber.
Apple likely won't discount the AirPods 4, but you can pay in installments if that's better for your budget. You'll get 3% cash back if you pay using your Apple Card.*
Best Buy isn't offering any discounts on either the standard or ANC AirPods 4. However, Best Buy has a trade-in program where you can save by handing over your old headphones and earbuds. Pairs from Apple, Bose, Sony and tons of other brands are all accepted. Plus, you'll also get three free months of Apple Music and Apple Fitness along with two free months of Apple TV.
You can order the AirPods 4 from B&H with the ANC version offering a $20 savings. The non-ANC version is available with a less notable $10 discount. B&H also offers a neat way to save on sales tax with its house-branded B&H Payboo Credit Card* -- it gives you the sales tax as cash back.
Adorama is offering $20 off the ANC model but nothing off the base model. You can also save 5% when you use the Adorama Edge Credit Card,* and the retailer has a rewards program that allows you to earn points to redeem as credit toward future purchases.
Snag a pair of AirPods 4 with ANC for $148, which saves you $32. If you prefer the buds without ANC, those are available for $113, which is $17 off the regular price.
