How much should you spend on a bed?

There is a lot of variety in mattress pricing, though the average online mattress falls between $800 and $1,200. If you're ready to spend a little more, there are great beds on either side of this range, like the Saatva Classic or Tempur-Pedic. If you're on a budget, the Dreamfoam Doze is around $200 for Labor Day. You probably won't be able to find a quality bed that is cheaper than that.

How much you spend on a bed will depend entirely on your budget. However, there is one thing for sure. You should never buy a bed for full price. They are almost always on sale, especially around the holidays.
