Many mattress brands extended their Fourth of July sales to compete with Amazon's Prime Day sale, slashing prices by hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars. Seriously, we've seen markdowns up to 60% at top brands like Avocado, Helix, Brooklyn Bedding and more. Amazon's sale is now over and while we're still seeing a few incredible deals standing tall across categories, including big-ticket items like TVs and mattresses, we expect these deals to wind down soon.
However, our CNET shopping experts are still on the case, reviewing these last few deals to pick the very best for you. Whether you're looking for a budget-friendly mattress, a luxurious, dense memory foam mattress or a durable hybrid model, we're sure that there will be something out there just waiting for you to purchase.
If you are still looking to shop for appliances, laptops and home essentials, visit Best Buy and Walmart. While Amazon's Prime Day sale is over, their sale events are still live. And if you see something you like, don't wait too long as there's no way to know when a deal will end. Strike while the iron is hot because you could regret missing out before tariff-driven price hikes go into effect.
Best Prime Day mattress sales: Helix, Nectar, Brooklyn Bedding and others
DreamCloud makes some of the most affordable luxury-style mattresses out there. DreamCloud also runs some of the best sales you can get. You can currently get up to 50% off mattresses and 66% off bundles when ordering, thanks to its current July sale. A queen DreamCloud hybrid mattress is only $699. This is one of my favorite pillow-top mattresses and the price makes it even better.
Brooklyn Bedding is one of my favorite mattress brands. Their beds have a classic appeal that delivers comfort without bogging you down in the flowery jargon that other brands do. Right now, Brooklyn Bedding is running a 30% off sitewide sale, still live. All you have to do is use the code FLASH30.
Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are already well-priced and this deal just sweetens that. Our favorite mattress of all time, the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid, is on sale for only $932 for a queen. And hot sleepers can snag the best cooling bed I've ever tested, the Aurora Luxe, for only $1,586.
Nectar always runs generous sales and they've just extended their current one. You can still get up to 50% off popular Nectar beds and snag 66% off their sleep bundles, meaning you'll be making some incredible savings at Nectar.
For people looking for a dense memory foam mattress, now is the time to get one for less. The Nectar Classic, which I recommend for back and stomach sleepers, is only $649 for an all-foam queen and $799 for a hybrid. Finding quality online beds for less than $1,000 can be tough, so memory foam lovers won't want to miss this sale.
With the code CNET27, you can access an exclusive 27% off sale for Helix mattresses. Without this code, you'll only snag 25% off. This sale drops the core Helix Midnight mattress to only $972 for a queen. If you step up a level and want to get one of our favorite beds of all time, check out the Helix Midnight Luxe for only $1,751, down from $2,399.
If you're looking for a comfortable bed that won't break the bank, you'll like Bear's mattresses. These beds are affordable but the 35% off sitewide sale with code JULY4 makes them hard to pass up. The budget Bear Original mattress is only $556 for a queen. That's a steal if you want an all-foam mattress.
With this sale, the Elite Hybrid, which has a plush pillow top, is only $1,578 instead of $2,427.
Best Prime Day sitewide mattress deals: Dreamfoam, Plank, Nolah, Titan and Emma
Do you want a super firm bed that's like sleeping on the world's most comfortable floor? You want the Plank mattress. The Plank Firm is a flippable mattress that I recommend for back sleepers. You can currently get it for only $932 right now. The Plank Firm Luxe is down to $1,299. All you have to do is use the code FLASH30.
Titan is running a 30% off sitewide sale when you use the code FLASH30. That means one of our favorite mattresses for heavy people, the Titan Plus, is on sale for only $874. It's one of the most durable and supportive beds out there, so this is a great chance to upgrade your bed.
Nolah's July Fourth mattress sale is still live, offering 35% off sitewide. That drops the price of the Nolah Evolution hybrid mattress to only $1,383. While that's still a decent chunk of change, this bed is well worth the money. The soft pillow top is one of the most comfortable I've ever tested. With three firmness levels, it's the type of bed anyone can sleep on.
Dreamfoam by Brooklyn Bedding makes some of the nicest budget beds out there. And I'm not talking about affordability because they're less than $1,000; these are seriously cheap beds. A 30% off sale is going on now, making these beds a no-brainer. A 7-inch queen Dreamfoam Doze mattress is only $168. I recommend side sleepers go with the 11-inch model because it's softer, and it costs $234 right now. Use the code FLASH30 to take advantage of these savings.
During all of the Prime Day buzz, Emma is offering up to 77% off sitewide, including 60% off its affordable mattresses. This brings the price of a king-sized Hybrid Cooling Comfort mattress down from $1,839 to $735. Just act fast, because many sizes are already sold out.

The Layla hybrid mattress is our top pick for side sleepers of any body type. The sale only drops it to $1,499, though this is likely the best we'll see from Layla.

Saatva, the maker of our favorite firm mattress, is offering 15% off when you spend more than $975. Given the brand's luxury prices, this effectively makes all of its mattresses 15% off, including the well-reviewed Saatva Classic.
Zinus is running an up to 60% off + 10% mattress sale right now, one of the most generous sales I've seen. The percentage off will depend on which bed you choose. The Original Green Tea memory foam bed is down to $499 for a queen, while the Cooling Green Tea memory foam bed is down to $529 for a queen. Use code JULY10.
For those looking for the ultimate organic bed, look no further than the Avocado Green mattress. It has the best construction and organic certifications I've seen. For current promotions, everything is still 15% off sitewide, dropping a queen Avocado Green mattress to $1,784. Organic mattresses are expensive, so seeing any savings off the top is nice.

Leesa's current sale will still save you 30% on many mattresses, including the Leesa Original for only $929. The Leesa Sapira Chill, which I recommend to hot sleepers who want a comfy pillow-top, is now $1,584.
You also can get 25% off bases, 25% off bedding and up to 30% off the Sapira adjustable bed bundle. No code is required; the discounts are automatically applied at checkout.
While our favorite mattress for couples, the Sparrow Signature from Nest Bedding, isn't discounted currently, you will get a bundle of freebies valued at more than $300 with purchase, including two pillows and a mattress protector. This goes for all of the brand's mattresses, but the best deal of the sale is on the Raven Flippable Hybrid mattress, which is a whopping 50% off.
Zoma is marking down all three of its USA-made mattresses by 30% when you use the code SLEEP30 at checkout. That brings the price of its hybrid model down to just $909, and you can snag the luxurious Zoma Boost for just less than $1,260. Is Prime Day a good time to buy a mattress?
While this year's Prime Day is over, I've been doing this long enough to know mattress deals are still available. Plus, if you can't afford a mattress right now, you can just catch the next holiday. Most brands run sales within a set range for every season. For example, Nectar often runs up to 50% off sales for its beds.
Should you shop Amazon Prime Day mattresses if you couldn't shop on July 4th?
Prime Day is officially over, but there are still many mattress deals available on Amazon. If you're looking for beds specifically sold on Amazon, such as Rolanstar, Siena or the Ashley Home Signature, then shopping these lingering deals is definitely worth it. Additionally, several top online bed brands extended their Fourth of July sales to compete with Amazon's event but now that it's over, you really shouldn't hesitate to shop.
Most lingering sales are only going to be around for a short period and I doubt they will be significantly better than right now. Most brands have a set sale range they offer across holidays.
