Amazon makes affordable tablets that often get discounted around big shopping events, like Prime Day or Black Friday. But just because those sales are a ways off, it doesn't mean you have to pay full price for a Kindle device. Right now we spotted a Woot offer on refurbished Kindle Paperwhite and Fire tablets, bringing them down to some of the lowest prices we've seen.

Not only that, but if you jump on this deal before Jan. 8 at 11:58 pm CT and enter the code FIREFIVE at checkout, you'll save an additional $5 off (limit one per customer). That means you can pick up the Fire 7 tablet for less than $30 or the Kindle Scribe for over half off.

If you've been considering a tablet or e-reader, whether for yourself, for travel or maybe for the kids, picking up a certified refurbished model at a fraction of the price will keep you on budget. You can get the 32GB Kindle Paperwhite (2021) for $100. Use the coupon and it drop down to $95. Originally priced at $200, you save a little over half off with this deal. You can also grab a 32GB Kindle Fire HD 10 tablet for $40 (or $35 with the code FIREFIVE).

All items are certified Amazon refurbished, and are backed by the Amazon Renewed Guarantee. )To learn more, go to the Amazon Renewed Guarantee page).

Why this deal matters

Woot, an Amazon subsidiary, is offering Amazon-certified refurbished models of several Kindles for drastically low prices. Just remember that stock can change. The sale is set to last until Jan. 9 but devices could sell out way before then.
