The Bose brand has been going strong for 60 years now, so it has plenty of experience when it comes to audio equipment. The big hurdle for most folks with buying into the brand is usually the price. Thankfully with Cyber Monday deals in abundance, we're seeing some significant discounts, including from Bose itself. Right now, it is offering its usually $349 QuietComfort headphones for just $159 in refurbished condition, representing a savings of $190 versus buying brand new. This means you're only paying $159 for some of our favorite headphones on the market.

Available in three different colors -- green, white or black -- the headphones offer a 24-hour battery life on a two-and-a-half-hour charge, Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity, active noise cancelling, a built-in microphone and a carrying case. Not to mention, they support the Bose Music app for customizing the EQ or listening modes. Spotify Tap is also supported for quickly listening to your favorite tunes.

CNET's audio expert David Carnoy has had hands-on time with these headphones and suggests that they are only a slight step down in audio quality versus Bose's flagship QuietComfort Ultra headphones, our favorite noise-canceling headphones. Those sell for as much as $429, though, so aren't for everyone. The non-Ultra model also offers excellent noise-canceling and strong voice-calling performance.

Why this deal matters

Bose products do go on sale periodically, especially during big sale seasons like Prime Day or Black Friday, but prices still rarely reach the affordable end of the market. With this refurb deal, you're able to get a Bose-certified refurbished product, with the same warranty as a brand-new product, while saving $190 off the regular price. We think this is a great excuse to treat yourself or someone close to you this holiday season. If you want to go the brand-new route, Amazon will sell you a set of the very same headphones for $199 right now.
