If you've been looking for a decent pair of earbuds but don't want to overspend, right now you can pick up the Skullcandy Method 360 ANC earbuds for $80 at both Amazon and Best Buy. That's $50 less than the regular price of $130 -- a fantastic price for some of our favorite budget earbuds around. The only catch is that at both retailers the black and white colors are the only ones on sale right now. If you can live without the leopard print, you can save big.

We don't know exactly how long this offer will last, so if you're thinking these Skullcandy buds are right for you, it's best to get them sooner rather than later.

In his review of the best inexpensive earbuds, CNET headphones expert David Carnoy called the Skullcandy Method 360, "$100 Bose earbuds in disguise." He was impressed with them, saying they "sound better than most of the earbuds in this price class." One of the big perks, as Carnoy points out, is that the Skullcandy Method 360 feature "sound by Bose." This helps them have a more dynamic audio profile than other budget earbuds. "They sound very similar to Bose's $170 QuietComfort Earbuds," Carnoy said.

These earbuds also sport Bose's Fit Kit system with stability bands and three different sizes of fit fins and three sets of air gels, to help ensure you'll get the perfect fit. They're also sweat-resistant and offer up to 40 hours of battery life with the ANC off and 32 hours with the ANC on.
One of the only cons, notes Carnoy, is the somewhat bulky carrying case. Unlike other earbud cases, it's long and rectangular and designed to clip on your belt or bag. It is also not a self-charging case, something that could be a minor inconvenience.

These earbuds also made the list of our CNET Readers' top 100 tech products for last year.

Why this deal matters

With readers and editors alike ranking these earbuds among their favorites even at their full price of $130, picking these up at a $50 discount is almost a no-brainer. Plus, the $80 price tag is only $5 more than the all-time record low we saw during Black Friday sales late last year.
