The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are at their lowest price to date.

David Carnoy/CNET

Despite their improvements, when I reviewed Google's Pixel Buds Pro 2, I was a little disappointed that they cost $29 more than their predecessor. Other than that, I thought these were a solid pair of buds, especially for Android users. We even deemed this pair as the top Android buds. For a limited time only, you can score the Pixel Buds Pro 2 for their lowest price ever, $179. (That's how much they were on Black Friday.) Don't miss your chance to save $50 on these highly rated buds before the deal expires.

While I did try the Pixel Buds Pro 2 with an iPhone 16 Pro -- yes, they work fine with Apple products, albeit with a more limited feature set -- they're really designed for Pixel device users, who get integrated support for Google's Gemini AI assistant, and Android users. I appreciated the smaller design, an upgrade that should address the fit issues many folks with smaller ears had with the original design. The sound and noise cancellation have been improved along with slightly better voice-calling performance.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are excellent earbuds if you can get a tight seal. Apple users are better off with the AirPods Pro 2, and Samsung Galaxy device owners should probably opt for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Despite their higher price, they're certainly worth consideration from Pixel device users and Android users in general, particularly when they're discounted.
