Amazon/CNET

Cyber Monday is here, and countless tech deals are cropping up on all your favorite brands, including Apple, Anker and Amazon. But when it comes to Cyber Monday deals, some of the most budget-friendly finds are going to be on refurbished tech. I've spotted some Amazon Fire HD 10 tablets on sale at Woot for as little as $18, but you need to act soon -- select configurations have already sold out. Just pick out the model you want, add it to your cart and use promo code FIRE40 at checkout to receive an extra 40% off your item.

This tablet has a nice 10.1-inch 1080p full HD display and comes with either 32GB or 64GB of storage. You can even add up to 1Tb of storage with a microSD card, but that's sold separately.

If you go for the 32GB model, you'll see the price listed as $30 for the Grade C Scratch & Dent model, which means it shows wear and tear, including scratches, dents and dings. Adding the promo code drops that price to just $18, and for under 20 bucks, a few blemishes isn't that bad.

However, for a little more, you could opt for a Grade A refurb instead, which is close to new condition and won't have much in the way of visible dings and dents. It's listed at $40, but with the code, it drops down to $24, which is an excellent price.

That code will work for the 64GB models as well, dropping the price at checkout by 40% -- just remember to enter FIRE40 to see the savings reflected before you place your order. (Read more about Woot's refurbished items.) And, your purchase is also backed by a 90-day Woot limited warranty, just in case.

Why this deal matters

Apple iPads and Samsung tablets can cost hundreds of dollars, but not everyone needs a high-end tablet. If you're looking for something portable and easy to use, a Fire tablet is a great choice. Obviously, this isn't the best tablet on the market, as it's an older model from 2021 -- but as a gift for a clumsy kid, you can do much worse for $18.
