If you’ve ever aspired to purchase a Sony Bravia television, now's your chance to do so at a massive discount. The company’s TVs are up to 35% off during Amazon's October Prime Day sale. There are three TVs on sale: the 2025 Bravia 2 II, the Bravia 5 and the 2024 Bravia 8.

Of these three models, the Bravia 8 is the best of the bunch. It’s an OLED TV with potentially infinite brightness and support for Dolby Vision. The 65-inch model is available for $1,298, which is just over $700 off.

Meanwhile, the Bravia 5 is a midrange, mini LED TV with "precise local dimming" by its XR Backlight Master Drive. It's on sale for $998, $500 off its original price.

Lastly, the “so good they named it twice” Bravia 2 II is a basic, entry-level LED TV based on Google TV and has a 4K resolution. It's on sale for $598. However, it's outclassed at the price for specs, so you may want to check out these budget TVs instead.

Why this deal matters

During Amazon Prime Day, electronics are often heavily discounted, so that makes it a great time to buy. This deal won't last, but it is worthwhile, especially if you're considering the impressive Bravia 8. We're not sure when it will be available again at such a massive discount.

Back in 2005, I was fortunate enough to attend the Japanese launch of the Bravia line. Since then, I’ve watched the TVs grow, like my own little electromagnetic children. One of the company’s highest-profile TVs yet — Sony’s Bravia 8 II — won best OLED at the 2025 Value Electronics Shootout. It’s currently at its lowest price yet of $2,798. I have tested the Sony Bravia 8 II, and it’s a fairly bright OLED, but the LG G5 is a lot brighter and it's going for even less right now ($2,477).
