Nintendo/CNET

While we all eagerly await the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo fans are in a bit of a weird limbo state. Thankfully, there have been some incredible games released in the last year or so that not all of us have played, but you can find these with some decent discounts if you know how.

One of the standouts recently is The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which finally puts Zelda in the hero seat instead of Link, and does so with some really cool mechanics. It's normally $60, but thanks to a discount on Woot, you can get it today for just $42.

Echoes of Wisdom has you saving Link for a change, and doing so by using a magical item called the Tri Rod to create echoes of enemies, items and more to help you out. The result is an intricate adventure game with plenty of solutions to nearly any problem, along with a really compelling gameplay loop as well. But don't worry, Zelda can still pick up a sword when it's necessary to fight off evil in a more traditional way.

Why this deal matters

Nintendo games hold their value incredibly well, and even with the next edition of the console on its way, that's likely to be true for some time thanks to backwards compatibility. So, grabbing this game while it's on sale is a great idea as long as you wanted it in the first place.
