One Medicals Pay-Per-Visit service now helps parents for select young children's health issues.

One Medical

Amazon One Medical is expanding its Pay-Per-Visit service to parents seeking advice or care for their children ages 2 to 11, the e-commerce giant announced on Thursday. The service is currently limited in what conditions are covered, but parents or guardians will connect with a certified family care provider for a flat fee.

You don't need an Amazon Prime or One Medical membership or even insurance to use the service. Prices start at $29 for a message-only visit, or $49 to video chat with a provider.

The service covers a somewhat limited list of issues, including pink eye, lice, common skin-related issues and bug bites. EpiPen and asthma prescription refills are also available.

Before you can use the service, you should determine if the symptoms your child is experiencing fall under the treatable conditions list. Then, select your visit type. You'll need to fill out an intake form with your child's medical history to build a new Amazon Health minor profile.

After the visit, the provider will follow up with a full treatment plan. Medications, if prescribed, can be filled via Amazon Pharmacy or another pharmacy of your choice.

Visits can be paid for with a credit card, Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account.

Amazon acquired One Medical in 2023 for $3.9B to boost its presence in the health care industry. One Medical can be seen as a paid concierge service that accepts insurance and offers its members on-demand video chats for issues and easy scheduling options for in-office visits, and more.

A representative for Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for further comment.
