If you've ever hosted a Thanksgiving dinner, you're all too familiar with the feeling, or should I say exhaustion, that comes with it. First comes grocery shopping, where you have to fight through hordes of people to purchase ingredients like nutmeg, which you'll probably never use again. (And please don't even bring up the Trader Joe's lines at this time of the year...)

Then comes the prep work: staling the French bread for exactly the right number of days so the stuffing turns out just like grandma's, among countless other tedious tasks that lead all the way up to Thanksgiving Eve. Finally, it's Thanksgiving Day, and time to cook. Loved ones begin to roll into your home as you stir, peel and finally, serve. But by this time, are you even hungry anymore?

Now, imagine a Thanksgiving where you didn't have to shop or plan an elaborate meal at all. That's where holiday meal kits come in. This year, several services are offering Thanksgiving meal kits that slice out a ton of prep, shopping and grunt work. They feature simple yet impressive recipes and include all the ingredients for a full Thanksgiving dinner. And if you'd rather not cook at all and soak in relaxing family time instead, there are fully cooked options, too.

Below, we list all of our favorite options available this year, but if you're planning to order, don't wait too long. Most of them will sell out, because they only stock limited amounts for the season and ordering deadlines are fast approaching.

Best Thanksgiving meal kits for 2025

For a Thanksgiving meal kit, this is the whole kit and kaboodle, as they say. Gobble is a meal kit service known for cutting out the legwork when making dinner. This year, the service is offering two Thanksgiving meal kit options that have everything you'd need for a successful dinner.

The Deluxe Thanksgiving feeds four to six people and is $200, plus free shipping. It includes:

  • Diestel Family Ranch Ready-to-Cook Turkey Breast Roast
  • Sausage, Fennel & Apple Stuffing
  • Classic Mashed Potatoes with Chives
  • Turkey Gravy
  • Roasted Carrots with Miso-Sage Butter
  • Cranberry & Sweet Cherry Compote
  • Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Pancetta Balsamic & Pecorino Romano
  • Black Pepper & Gruyère Biscuits
  • Ginger-Apple Crisp with Walnut-Oat Topping

The Classic Thanksgiving box includes most of the same items, but it doesn't have the biscuits or ginger-apple crisp. It also feeds 4 to 6 people and is $180. The boxes are ready for preorder now until Nov. 19 and are available for subscribers and nonsubscribers alike.

The original meal kit delivery company recently underwent a revamp, which means now, there's no subscription required to order from the vast menu. That's welcome news for the 61% of people who participated in CNET's recent survey and said that the subscription commitment was why they hadn't given meal kits a shot yet. This Thanksgiving, you can build your meal kit box from scratch and pick each dish a la carte style.

The Nov. 17-23 menu includes the following options:

  • Roasted turkey breast, $49.99, 6 servings
  • Herb stuffing, $14.99, 4 servings
  • Brown butter mashed potatoes, $7.99, 4 servings
  • Creamy mac and cheese, $19.99, 6 servings
  • Roasted Brussels sprouts, $9.99, 4 servings
  • Roasted grape and goat cheese salad, $11.99, 4 servings
  • Apple crumb pie, $14.99, 6-8 servings

Not into the cooking scene at all? No problem. Whole Foods Market has a ton of tasty options for holiday meal kits that are ready to eat, meaning there's no cooking required whatsoever. You can have them delivered or pick them up in-store, then you can heat them up whenever you're ready to eat.

The selections will vary based on your location and the brick-and-mortar stores that are near you, but expect things like an entire Thanksgiving feast for 12, including turkey ($240), a prime rib meal for eight ($280), and plenty of appetizers and dessert options, too.
