More than 40,000 wireless Christmas tree light controllers have been recalled after the manufacturing company, Mr. Christmas, determined they are fire hazards.

The controllers -- which come in three different styles -- were sold nationwide at Walmart, Target and Cracker Barrel, according to a release from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The two devices sold at Walmart and Cracker Barrel have the words "Christmas Light Controller" on the front while the one sold at Target reads "Tree Lighting Switch." They were priced between $25 and $40, according to the release. Photos of the recalled devices are below.

So far, there have been 10 reports of the products overheating and one report of a fire, but no injuries. If you own one of these devices, you should stop using it and return it to your place of purchase for a full refund.
