New colorful animations have hit the latest Nest Thermostats.

Google

In my reviews, I've been a major fan of the latest Nest smart learning thermostat, with a large dial that displays animations of outside weather, like a setting sun or falling snow. Now, the Nest fourth-generation thermostat has been upgraded, thanks to a partnership with artist Mathilde Loubes. The display now has 12 new animations

The animations are largely seasonal but also allow you to pick and keep your favorites year-round. Designs include drifting autumn leaves, snow falling on a pinecone and a variety of fruits and flowers swaying in the breeze. There are also more minimalistic options, drawn with scant lines to show blooming symbols like a snowflake, a wave or a leaf.

Nest's new faces should be available for use right away.

Google Nest

In addition to these moving creations, Google is adding three classic thermostat faces, reminiscent of the early generations of the Nest thermostat and their simpler looks.

These new faces should be available now if you update your Google Home app and check thermostat settings. I'm off to try it right now.
