Arlo's usual Essential, Pro and Ultra cameras are getting upgrades, while new Essential Pan Tilt cameras are making their debut.

Arlo

Arlo's next generation of security cameras is officially here, and they're all in on AI. New versions of the Arlo Essential, Pro and Ultra cameras integrate with Arlo Intelligence features.

The Arlo Essential cameras are some of the company's lowest-priced offerings, because they're basic security cameras without any bells and whistles. Arlo provides different options for 2K resolution or HD recording and plug-in or battery-operated variants.

The Pro camera is available at a sizable price bump, but it offers far more functionality than the Essential camera variants. The Pro has a 160-degree field of view, a built-in siren, package alerts and basic weather resistance. The Ultra camera has all these perks, including complete weather resistance, 4K HDR video, two-way audio and a swappable, rechargeable battery.

All the new cameras interface with the Arlo Secure app, and have access to Arlo Intelligence AI features.

AI Atlas

Arlo Intelligence features detect and report specific images on the feed, including people, vehicles, and fires. It can also key in on specific audio cues and caption them for you.

You could easily do these things yourself, but you can't monitor your feed constantly, so it's a solid assist that might alert you to important events you'd otherwise miss. If something goes awry, Arlo Intelligence has built-in emergency response to send help your way, which might offer the truest ease of mind out of any of the AI-powered security features.

If you want to take advantage of the full suite of AI features in the latest version of Arlo Secure, you'll need to pay a fee. Once you use up the 30-day free trial that comes with your camera, floodlight or video doorbell, subscriptions start at $8 a month.

In addition to the Arlo Essential, Pro and Ultra cameras, the company is introducing two Essential Pan Tilt cameras -- one for indoor use, and one for outside security. Both cameras can pan 360 degrees and tilt 180 degrees, which should ensure you have control over where your feed points at any time.

Arlo's new pan cameras are the latest full-swivel security cameras on the market. Wyze recently announced a duo pan cam that provides a sweeping and static camera feed in tandem with each other.

The Arlo Essential cameras range from $40 to $80, the Pro camera is $125, the Pro XL camera is $200 and the Ultra camera is $200. The Essential Pan Tilt cameras range from $35 to $60. All new Arlo cameras are available to preorder on Amazon or from Arlo's website.
