Govee curtain lights showing a flowery display in a dark living room.

Govee's curtain lights can give you whatever look and brightness you want.

Govee

Govee came prepared to IFA in Berlin, bringing several new smart lighting products to showcase at the event, and I'm particularly amazed at the look of its latest, most colorful ideas.

The first to catch my eye were the Govee Curtain Lights Pro. These aren't your typical string lights: They're a programmable curtain of lights with 960 smart LEDs that you can set to almost color you want. With the Govee app and its lighting AI helper, you can automatically display all kinds of shapes and scenes, or get creative on your on.

Granted, that's some significant setup, but from cute Chibi characters to tropical palm trees, I was stunned at how cool the curtains could look. You can combine up to three of the curtains to function as one and cover up to 16.2 by 5.77 feet, while a single curtain will cover 5.4 by 5.7 feet. I'm still thinking about the different spots you could put them, from a wall display or replacement for an entryway curtain, window curtain or (thanks to the waterproofing) a garage decoration, customizable for any event. I checked to make sure -- the Curtain Lights do have mounting you can use to lock in the bottom of the lights to avoid tangles if you want.

Permanently light up your home for visitors

Govee's outdoor lights shine different shades on the eaves of a house at night.

Permanent outdoor lights mean you'll never have to worry about hanging Christmas lights, or any other color, again.

Govee

I've mentioned Govee's permanent outdoor lights before in outdoor lighting guides, but now there's an upgraded model called Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism. The lights are installed under eaves to give your home a unique evening look, no matter the time of year or holiday. This model sports a triple-color lighting effect for quick, striking hue combinations as well as lots of customization via the app.

The permanent lights have a hefty IP68 rating to withstand a variety of weather and temperatures from negative 30 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. They're rated to last for up to 50,000 hours of use. While shifting colors for the seasons or broadcasting your current mood is always an option, you can still set these lights to a warm white for added visibility and safety for the darker corners of your yard.

TV backlights, smart pendant lights and Nebula projectors

Govee's Nebule projector lights up a dark bedroom.

Govee's latest indoor project is large but stunning in its results.

Govee

On the other hand, if you're thinking more about your living room or home theater, Govee showed off the latest version of its TV backlighting line, the TV Backlight 3 Pro, which brings in an HDR triple camera setup to match your movies in real time like nothing before.

Govee also announced a second-gen model of its Table Lamp Pro, which I can't wait to test and see how it lights up a room (it's like a lava lamp from space), as well as a new smart pendant light for those who don't have standard bulb lighting in their kitchens or dining rooms. And if you really like showing off, there's a new indoor "Nebula" Govee Star Light Project for your ceiling.

Expect these products to be available for sale in the coming weeks with more detailed pricing info to come soon. I'll let you know when I get a chance to test the newest Govee extravaganzas and how they function in a real home setting.
