Dish Network is bundling up for the summer. The satellite TV provider has partnered with Netflix to offer customers on-the-house access to the streamer's epic content library.
Dish said Wednesday that new and existing customers will get Netflix's Standard plan with ads (which costs $7 per month) for free with a two-year subscription. Though the ad-supported Netflix plan is included with your Dish subscription at no extra cost, you can choose instead to apply a $7 monthly credit toward one of the streamer's higher-priced, ad-free tiers.Â
"Free Netflix" is an attention-grabbing phrase, for sure. Subscriber losses have hit the EchoStar-owned Dish Network and its subsidiary, Sling TV, with the company weathering the loss of 348,000 customers in the first quarter of 2024. This new Netflix bundle may be the solution they need to maintain a substantial customer base — while bringing in new subscribers.

In recent months, Netflix has been bundled with Max in an offer through Verizon, and it's now a part of Comcast's new StreamSaver bundle. The Dish deal is the streaming pioneer's latest foray in the bundle landscape.
