Alienware's m17 is a more refined extraterrestrial

Alienware's m17 is part of a new wave of laptop that can be configured with Nvidia's RTX 20-series GPUs.

It's also much thinner and lighter than previous Alienware laptops.

It's still a 17-inch gaming machine though, so the footprint is huge.

It's a less ostentatious design than you might expect.

Perhaps most importantly, it's powerful. My machine was able to play demanding games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider at around 90 frames per second.

The configuration with an RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU will cost you just over $3,000.
