AT&T shows off slew of LTE devices (photos)

At its annual developer summit today, happening alongside CES, AT&T got to the good stuff eventually, unveiling a half dozen Android devices on 4G LTE. And Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer made a surprise showing during the event, which lasted nearly two and a half hours.

AT&T's head of consumer and mobility, Ralph de la Vega, kicks things off.

CTO John Donovan announces Cloud Architect, which gives developers access to computing and application development services.

The carrier introduces App Center, which will expand to more OSes.

The Sony PS Vita, launching in the United States on February 22, can connect to the Sony PlayStation Network and nearby devices on the carrier's network.

De la Vega shows off the Samsung Galaxy Note, one of a half dozen Android devices coming to AT&T on 4G LTE.

The Galaxy Note has a stylus known as the S-Pen.

The Samsung Exhilarate is one of a couple of Android devices coming to AT&T for buyers on a budget.

The Pantech Element tablet is Android-based.

Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer surprises the crowd with an appearance and announces the first LTE Windows Phone device on AT&T.

The HTC Titan II is revealed to be the LTE Windows Phone device.

De la Vega, HTC chief Peter Chou, and Ballmer get together on stage.

Nokia chief Stephen Elop teases another Windows Phone device but tells the crowd that it'll have to wait until later this afternoon, for Nokia's event. The anticipated device is believed to be the Nokia Lumia 900.
