Beatles RockBand rocks E3

One of the biggest announcements at E3 2009 was the introduction of "Beatles RockBand" from Harmonix and MTV Games. Featuring 45 in-game Beatles songs and the ability to download full Beatles albums, the game seems assured a huge audience.

Here, in a screenshot from the game, we see Beatles Paul McCartney and the late George Harrison singing together.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of all at E3 was the appearance at Microsoft's Xbox press conference on Monday of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as Yoko Ono.

All four of the Beatles are seen in this screenshot from "Beatles RockBand." The game adds a new feature to the RockBand arsenal, vocal harmonies.

The Xbox 360 packaging for "Beatles RockBand." The game will be released for Xbox, PlayStation 3 and Wii, all on September 9, 2009, or "09.09.09."

Inside the Harmonix booth at E3 2009, several people play "Beatles RockBand" on a small riser. The booth had four of these risers, all of which were filled with people eagerly playing the game.

During the Xbox press conference at E3 2009, on June 1, 2009, Harmonix introduced "Beatles RockBand," and demonstrated it in front of the thousands of people in the audience.
