Bonavita's new coffee maker brews well for a budget price

The Bonavita Metropolitan has a similar design to the Connoisseur but has an all-plastic exterior.

The filter basket accepts flat bottom paper filters, 8 to 12 cups in size.

You slide the filter basket into its slot on the coffee maker. It's positioned above the glass carafe.

The Metropolitan's water tank has a large opening that makes it easy to fill. 

The ripple pattern on the carafe's bottom is a nice touch.

The Metropolitan didn't control its brewing temperature quite as well as the Bonavita Connoisseur.

Coffee the Metropolitan made consistently tasted rich and full of coffee flavor minus any bitterness.
