Dual Pixel CMOS inside
While it incorporates a new version of Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS sensor, which has autofocus sensors on-chip, it uses the same autofocus system as the 80D.
Connections
The 6DM2 drops the proprietary "AV Out" connection for a more up-to-date USB.
Back
The lock switch has changed, but otherwise all the controls are identical to the 5-year-old 6D.
Card slot
It still has the cheap-feeling SD card slot cover.
Top
The only change on top is the addition of a button to access the focus-area controls that are in Canon's other current models.
Articulated LCD
The 6DM2 is the first full-frame Canon camera to have a flip-and-twist display.
Front
The remote connector has moved to the front from the side.
With optional battery grip
The grip takes two batteries.
