The Dell Venue Pro left quite an impression on us when we first saw it at the Windows Phone 7 launch, and though it took a while to come to market, the smartphone delivers on the hype. The Venue Pro is available with T-Mobile but is only sold through Dell. The 8GB model is available for $99.99 with a two-year contract and the 16GB is $149.99 with contract.

Large and in charge
The Dell Venue Pro is not a petite device. It measures 4.8 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide by 0.6 inch thick and weighs 6.8 ounces, so it's bulky and heavy, which might be a turn off for some.

Keyboard
The advantage of the smartphone's size is that you get a large 4.1-inch AMOLED touch screen. The Venue Pro's portrait slider design also allows for a full QWERTY keyboard, which we found quite comfortable to use.

On the right spine, you will find a volume rocker and dedicated camera key.

Top view
The top of the device features a 3.5mm headphone jack and the power button. The latter is on a slight downward slope, which makes it a little difficult to press.

The Venue Pro is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, an LED flash, and 720p video capture.
