I love the look of Google's gold Nexus 6P (pictures)

Google took the original Nexus 6P and covered it in gold. Same specs. Same everything. Except, gold.

Here's the original Nexus 6P and the new hotness, side by side.

The Nexus 6P still has one of the fastest fingerprint sensors we've ever experienced.

Such an elegant metal design.

The camera still lacks some of the features we've become accostomed to on other phones.

There's nothing like a smooth metal backside.

That's a sharp 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution.

Seriously, did I mention the smooth backside?

With the gold version, the constrast in the design is really pronounced.

The 8-megapixel front-facing camera takes good photos, but appears to apply an automatic air-brushing effect to images.

Those smooth rounded corners.

Plug in that USB Type-C charging cable any way you like.

Well, almost any way. Let's be sensible here.

That big golden shield is quite comforting.
