Hello's Sense sleep system is currently available on Kickstarter for $99 (that's roughly the equivalent of £58/AU$105).

The system consists of three parts: the Sense sphere alarm and environmental sensor, the Sense Sleep Pill movement sensor, and the Sense app (available for Android and iOS devices).

The Sense sphere comes in two colors: charcoal (gray) or cotton (white).

When it's illuminated, it's set to sleep mode.

It can play white noise, pink noise, and rain sounds to help you fall asleep and sound an alarm when it's time to wake up.

But, the Sense alarm is also supposed to be adaptive. So, if your alarm is set to 7:30 a.m., but you're already half awake around 7:15, Sense will go ahead and wake you up.

That way, you avoid falling back into a deep sleep by 7:30 and waking up much groggier than you would have if you had woken up at 7:15 instead.

The Sleep Pill is a small disc that attaches to your pillow case and detects movement throughout the night.

Get a second Sleep Pill for your partner's pillow so he or she can track his or her sleep patterns.

Hello claims that its Sleep Pills are waterproof and able to withstand any accidental trips to the washer.

The Sense app rounds out the system.

It's available for both Android and iOS devices.

Use it to review your sleep from the previous night -- the app will give you a sleep score, out of 100, to tell you how well you slept.

And, since it's tracking various environmental and movement triggers, you can use the app to figure out what made you so restless at 2 a.m. or why last night's sleep was so much better than other recent snoozes.
