Hoover's $300 Air Cordless is a battery-powered vacuum that's competitive with traditional uprights.

It weighs 9.9 pounds.

That's light for an upright-style vacuum.

Although it looks like an upright, it moves like a cordless stick vacuum.

This vacuum combines the technology of the Hoover WindTunnel 3 High Performance Bagless Upright with the mobility of the Hoover Platinum Collection Linx Cordless Stick Vacuum.

The cordless design means that you won't have to lug it from outlet to outlet.

The wand can be removed for targeted cleaning.

It can vacuum on carpet as well as hardwood.

Switch to this "hard floor brush roll" when you want to tidy up your hardwood, tile, vinyl, or other bare surfaces.

The vacuum can tilt based on your floor-cleaning needs.

It's compact enough to fit under furniture.

You can see if the brush is on or off through the transparent plastic nozzle.

This vacuum comes with two lithium ion batteries.

LEDs on the battery let you keep track of its charge.

The vacuum has a gray color scheme and bright blue accents.

Press the button on the top of the battery  to remove it and snap it back into place.

Press the tabs underneath to remove the plastic housing to swap out brushes or clean tangles.
