A first look at the HP Envy X2 (Snapdragon)

A handful of new PCs are coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM processors, instead of the typical Intel or AMD CPUs. 

One of the first to be announced is a new Snapdragon version of the HP Envy x2, a Windows 10 2-in-1. 

The system runs Windows 10 S, which is a version of Microsoft's Windows 10 that only runs programs found in the Windows app store. 

An upgrade to the full version of Windows 10 is supported, but Snapdragon support for standard Windows apps isn't guaranteed. 

This hybrid design includes a clip-on keyboard cover that promises to be very lap-friendly. 

The Snapdragon version of the HP Envy x2 should be available in the spring of 2018, but there's no estimated price yet.
