iPhone 3.0 will add turn-by-turn directions, which will give it true GPS functionality. Yet, the app come from developers who will have to provide their own apps.

Peer-to-peer networking through Bluetooth will let you play games with your friends. No Bluetooth pairing will be necessary.

You'll be able to drag grab points around a block of text to copy or cut it into another location. The functionality will work across all apps, including e-mails, text messages, and Web sites. You'll be able to copy photos as well.

Pasting promises to be a user-friendly process as well. And you can undo any action by shaking the phone.

Push notification will work with a variety of apps while saving battery life.

The Spotlight feature will bring a unified search under a single app. It's a big improvement over the current situation.

With Searchlight you'll be able to search mail but also your contacts, calendar, iPod library, and notes.

Previously available only through third-party apps, the voice memo will be a native (and free) feature.

Other apps for consumers include parental controls, note syncing, shake to shuffle, Wi-Fi auto log-in, stereo Bluetooth, meeting invites, antiphishing technology, and autofill Safari and YouTube account log-in.
