LG's G1 OLED TV is slimmer and brighter than ever

LG's G1 OLED TV is a high-end model with excellent picture quality, thanks in part to higher brightness than other OLED TVs. Let's take a closer look.

We've set it up for these photos on its optional stand legs, but LG really intended for the G1 to hang on the wall.

When wall-mounted the G1 is almost completely flush, sticking out less than an inch.

The key is this indentation designed to fit...

...this custom wall-mount bracket, which is included in the box.

Together they allow the TV to remain flat against the wall.

The optional stand legs shown here cost $100.

When not wall-mounted, it's still super slim.

Those legs are also really slim.

Like many TVs the border around the picture is quite thin too, for a minimalist overall look.

LG redesigned the remote somewhat, but it's not minimalist at all.

In keeping with the flush wall mount, there's another indentation for the cables.

The G1's connectivity is state of the art, with four HDMI all capable of 4K/120Hs input.

The G1 also has a built-in far-field mic so you can use Alexa and Google Assistant hands-free if you want.

Also not minimalist: the new home screen.

The G1 has picture modes galore, too.

New for 2021 is a Game Optimizer picture mode.

It offers a choice of genres that make specific tweaks to the image.
