Meet the mammoth HTC Droid DNA (pictures)

At a New York press conference today, HTC and Verizon unveiled the Droid DNA, a 5-inch "phablet" device with a thin profile and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The Droid DNA has a 5-inch Super LCD screen made out of Corning Gorilla Glass.

The device will be available November 21 from Verizon for $199.99, with preorders beginning today.

The display spans all the way to the edge of the phone's bezel, has a 1080p resolution with 440 pixels per inch, and has a reportedly wide viewing angle.

The HTC Droid DNA from Verizon houses an 8-megapixel camera that has a f2.0 lens.
