Unfolding Microsoft's Universal Foldable Keyboard (photos)

BARCELONA -- When you need to rest your thumbs and get some real typing work done, there's the Bluetooth-connected new Microsoft Universal Folding Keyboard.

The foldable keyboard slides easily into a purse, but it's a little too big and square to really pocket.

A magnetic closure snaps the keyboard halves shut and keeps them that way.

A Micro-USB port on the right side recharges the keyboard.

The physical keys are responsive and spring back when touched.

The split-board style will take a little getting used to for some people, but typing was fast.

Another glance, this time over the shoulder!

See those tiny icons on the top right? They indicate that the keyboard pairs with iOS and Android devices as well as Windows tablets and phones.
