Upping its rivalry with Apple, Google bills its Nexus 10 tablet as the must-have tablet for watching movies or reading magazines.

Developed in partnership with Samsung, the Nexus 10 tablet offers what Google calls the highest-resolution screen in the tablet marketplace. Google, which already co-brands Samsung's Galaxy Nexus smartphone, described its latest entry as "the ultimate tablet for watching movies or reading magazines."

While the iPad features a 2048-by-1536 pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch, the Nexus 10 has a 2560-by-1600 pixel resolution display at 300 pixels per inch.

The device features nine hours of continuous-use battery life. It comes with a 1.9-megapixel front camera as well as a 5-megapixel rear camera. It also features micro USB and micro HDMI ports.

Available for sale on Nov. 13, the Nexus 10 will cost $399 for a 16 GB version and $499 for a 32 GB model. You'll be able to buy one in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan.

The Nexus 10 also ships with Android 4.2, includes 2GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC (near-field communication), micro USB, and micro HDMI.
