Photos: Olympus Evolt E-410 and E-510

The E-410 and E-510 are identical with one exception: the E-510 offers mechanical image stabilization (sensor shift), a first for Olympus' dSLRs.

The two models offer scene modes to help out point-and-shooters stepping up to their first dSLR. The SSWF button on the top initiates the sensor vibration to shake off dust.

I generally find these types of buttons difficult to use on a dSLR body.

The two cameras offer user-selectable 3-point autofocus.

If you've used an Olympus point-and-shoot, the navigation and direct-control buttons will look and feel very familiar.
