The K850i shows off its signature Sony Ericsson candy bar design.

The K850i has a bright, vibrant display.

From behind, the K850i looks like a camera.

The K850i has a number of controls on its right spine, below the volume rocker and dedicated camera buttons. We liked the green stripe around the edge of the phone.

The K850i sparkles in your hand.

The K850i slips into a pocket or bag with room to spare.

Though they're tactile, the K850i's keypad buttons are too small.

The K850i has an unusual navigation array. A green rectangle serves as the navigation toggle, and touch controls (marked by the tiny white lines) rest just below the display. Unfortunately, it's not the most efficient arrangement.

The bottom end of the K850i folds down to reveal the SIM and memory card slots.

The K850i has a sliding lens cover and a bright flash.
