Samsung's gas range gets the job done (pictures)

The US-only Samsung Gas Range with True Convection NX58F5700 costs $1,699.

Its display panel blends in nicely with the stainless-steel finish.

It also happens to make a mighty fine burger.

The roasted chicken wasn't too shabby, either.

It has a 5.8-cubic-foot capacity.

That's on the large side for this price range.

The biscuits were good, although the convection bake mode (bottom row) cooked more uniformly.

It features five burners.

Use the knobs to adjust the output.

They are sturdy and easy tocontrol.

The BTUs range from 5,000 for simmering sauces to 18,000 for boiling water.

You can use the included griddle on the center burner for pancakes, eggs and more.

It even comes with a wok insert.
