Samsung Gear VR at Mobile World Congress (pictures)

BARCELONA -- Here it is. The new and improved Samsung Gear VR for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

The new Samsung Gear VR fits the 5.1-inch display of the new Samsung Galaxy S6 phones.

The Gear VR was built in collaboration with Oculus, which showed an updated version of its own Rift VR headset earlier this year.

The new headset is 15 percent lighter than the previous edition and sports a more comfortable design.

Senior Editor Scott Stein has mastered the art of not looking completely silly while wearing a VR headset.

Samsung promises the extra processing power and pixel density of its S6 phones will improve the VR experience.

The first trick to not looking foolish in these pics is to keep your mouth shut. Scott nails it.

A new feature of the Gear VR: it can now be charged via USB while being worn.

Besides S6 compatibility, the new Gear VR works with the Galaxy Note 4 as well.
