We take a closer look at the Samsung Moment, Samsung's first Google Android phone for Sprint.
Kent German
Kent was a senior managing editor at CNET News. A veteran of CNET since 2003, he reviewed the first iPhone and worked in both the London and San Francisco offices. When not working, he's planning his next vacation, walking his dog or watching planes land at the airport (yes, really).
The Moment has a 3.2-inch AMOLED display, which is quite attractive. We noticed the bright resolution, brilliant colors, and sharp graphics. Back, menu, and home touch controls sit just below the display, while physical Talk and End buttons rest below them. You can use the square navigation control as an optical mouse.

The Moment slides open to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. With four lines, the keyboard is spacious and we like that numbers get dedicated buttons. You'll also find a convenient space bar and a fair number of shortcut options.

If you prefer to use the touch screen, the Moment has a virtual keyboard as well. Thanks to the accelerometer, the display orientation will switch when you rotate the phone.

The 3.2-megapixel camera lens is on the Moment's rear side. It has a flash and a self-portrait mirror.

The Moment has a thin profile. The volume rocker sits on the left spine.

The Moment's Android interface will be familiar to Android users.
