Skype 4.0 ups video quality, stability, and more (pictures)

The new and improved Skype app sports a simpler interface that brings chat conversation front and center.

The Favorites list makes it easy to call or message your most frequently contacted friends.

It's still just as easy to place voice and video calls while on the go with Skype.

Missing from the new app is the ability to send files to friends through chat messages.

Look at that beautiful screenshot. Version 4.0 has significantly improved video quality. However, it did lose the ability to toggle between the front-facing and rear-facing camera while in a video call.
