The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 gets in tune with nature (pictures)

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 integrates its S Pen stylus in new and useful ways, but unless you're an artist, $400 is still too much to pay for a small tablet.

Remember when Android tablets had navigation buttons? The Note 8 brings 'em back! From left: Menu, Home, and Back.

It's not an aluminium-reinforced backside like on the iPad Mini, but it's still comfortable to hold. Just don't go stepping on it. Actually, I'd recommend not doing that for any tablet.

The 5-megapixel back camera isn't bad, and when there's enough light, it actually captures more-detailed images than the iPad Mini.

You can still use your fingers to navigate, but the S Pen makes navigating a bit more precise.

S Note has improved by leaps and bounds since its debut last year in the Galaxy Note 10.1. It now feels like something I'd actually want to use.

16GB for $400 ain't a lot. Luckily the Note 8's storage can be easily expanded.

Possibly the Note 8's biggest competitor, the iPad Mini. Can you tell which is which?
