A secret Amazon Prime perk is hiding in plain sight, and it just got even better. If you didn't already know (I didn't), as a Prime member, you can get 10 cents per gallon discount any day of the week at BP, Amoco, AM/PM and Thorntons sites. Starting today, April 3, and continuing every Friday until May 29, Amazon Prime members gain access to an extra 10 cents off per gallon, which means if you fill up on Fridays, you will save 20 cents for every gallon of gas you pump. This includes all types of fuel grades and any amount of gas -- there is no minimum.
How do you get Prime gas savings?
- First, download the Earnify app from BP and follow the steps to link your Amazon account.
- When at a participating gas station, activate the discount using your phone number at the pump or via the Earnify app.
- That's it. You start to save straightaway.
And remember, even after May 29, if you have the Earnify app, you can save 10 cents a gallon every time you pump at a participating gas station. There are about 7,000 BP, Amoco and AM/PM gas stations across the 50 states. With gas prices on the rise across the US, it's always a good time to find ways to bring those costs down.
