Aston Martin has begun teasing its upcoming ultra-exclusive supercar, the One-77. Production is rumored to be limited to 77 units. From what we can see in the intentionally shadowy rendering, the One-77 looks like the offspring of the Aston Martin DBS and the Corvette ZR-1, both classic in proportion and purposefully muscular. Then again, all Astons look great, so that's to be expected.

Behold the mysterious Aston Martin One-77. Aston Martin

Aston has been equally stingy with the drivetrain specs, but this early in development that too is to be expected. What Aston has told us is that the One-77 will start with a sophisticated carbon fiber chassis with a handcrafted aluminum body and add a 7.0 liter V12 powerplant. The Aston Martin DBS's 6.0 liter V12 engine makes 510 horsepower and 420 pound feet of torque, so we can safely assume that the One-77's 7.0 liter engine will be more powerful and a lot more torquey.

We'll post further information about the One-77 as it becomes available.
