E3 2017 is here! The world's biggest video game show officially kicked off Tuesday and runs through Thursday. But video game companies began their announcements Saturday.
Here's a full schedule of all the big announcements out of Los Angeles, along with links to where you can see our wrap-up coverage from Sony, Microsoft and others.
Saturday, June 10
- Electronic Arts -- The company's EA Play event has happened, and it was full of FIFA, Madden, Star Wars and a new game about a prison break called A Way Out.
Sunday, June 11
- Microsoft -- The company announced its highly-anticipated new console, which is now being called the Xbox One X. The new device, which is being released November 7 for $499, has a slew of games designed to work with it and its older sibling, the Xbox One S.
- Bethesda -- Get ready for a lot of VR. Bethesda said it's planning to release a version of its shooting game Doom and its post-apocalyptic adventure game Fallout 4, both remade to work in virtual reality, sometime later this year. The company's also releasing a new installment in its popular Wolfenstein Nazi-shooting series, and some other fan-favorite titles.Â
Monday, June 12
- Ubisoft -- The French game maker announced updates for its popular Assassin's Creed action adventure series, a collaboration with Nintendo for a new strategy game involving the Super Mario Bros. and Rabbids characters and a long-anticipated sequel (actually, prequel) to its popular futuristic adventure game Beyond Good and Evil.
- Sony -- The Japanese game company, having already released its Xbox One X competitor, the PlayStation Pro, last year instead showed a bunch of games from its popular series, including the Uncharted adventure series, God of War battle games and more. An in-depth look at the Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games, featured web abilities and combat, was also shown off.
Tuesday, June 13
- Nintendo -- Soaring off the early success of the Nintendo Switch, the game company provided an in-depth look at the insanely gorgeous Super Mario Odyssey, announced the existence of Metroid Prime 4 and that the popular Rocket League game is coming to the portable console.
