Following a series of teasers, the Pokemon Company has revealed another new monster making its debut in the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games.
The Pokemon is called Grafaiai, a poison/normal-type toxic monkey. Depending on what it eats, the poisonous saliva it produces changes color, and it uses that saliva to mark its territory and paralyze bug Pokemon. You can see the first trailer featuring Grafaiai below.
The official Pokemon Twitter account has been building up to Grafaiai's reveal. Over the past few days, the account has been sharing images of mysterious markings the new Pokemon apparently left behind on trees and rocks, building intrigue for its full unveiling. You can see some of the teaser images below.
Remember the markings we shared yesterday? Well, the Paldean photographer has confirmed that these were made by a Pokémon called #Grafaiai!

Pokemon has been steadily showcasing new monsters in the lead up to Scarlet and Violet's launch. The games' third trailer gave fans their first look at the doughy puppy Fidough and the land whale Cetitan, while World Championships trailer revealed the mount Pokemon Cyclizar.
