The big day is here, and the Nintendo Switch 2 is available as of Thursday. Whether you bought yours as a preorder or stood in line for one, Nintendo's newest console has a lot of games to pick from at launch.

The Switch 2 has a mix of original Switch games receiving a graphics upgrade and new games that weren't previously available on the console. The big title at launch is Mario Kart World, not only because it's an open-world racing game but also because of its $80 price tag.

The Switch 2 will have more games planned after the launch, including a new game featuring everyone's favorite barrel-chucking ape called Donkey Kong Bananza. Of all the games announced post-launch, the biggest news was an exclusive game from FromSoftware. The developer of Elden Ring, which is also heading to the Switch 2, is making a new game called The Duskbloods. There weren't many details in its trailer, but it does have the same brooding, gothic look and feel as the developer's other games, including Dark Souls and Bloodborne.Â
