Your PS5 Has a Hidden Web Browser. Here's Where to Find It

Pornhub released its 2024 Year in Review report recently, breaking down all the ways people around the world have been viewing the adult site. One stat that caught some attention was how 95% of people who view porn from their consoles use either a PS5 or a PS4. What many wonder is how someone can even pull up the website, since the PlayStation UI doesn't have a browser readily available. 

Buried deep in the PS4 and PS5 console is a browser that is accessible, but it's a little tricky to get to. Even when you get to it, it's not as intuitive as browsers on your PC, tablet or even phone. But if you want a take a break from gaming on your PlayStation to do something... else, it's there and here's how to find it.

Step 1: On your PlayStation home screen, go to Settings at the top right. 

Step 2: On the Settings screen, go to Network and then Check PlayStation Network Status. 

Step 3: You'll find yourself on Sony's website. At the top right, there's a link that says "Back to PlayStation.com." Click on it.

Step 4: You're now on PlayStation.com. Scroll all the way down, and you'll see the "Follow us on social media" section with icons for different social media platforms. Click on the button for YouTube. 

Step 5: Once on YouTube.com, there are a few ways to access the browser from here. The easiest is to use the YouTube search bar and type in "Google link in description." This will bring up various videos. Next, click on the first actual video that's not a YouTube Short. In the description, there should be a link to Google.com. Click on it. 

Step 6: You're now at the Google home page on the PlayStation browser. It's extremely barebones, requiring you to search for whatever website you like. 

Now, if you think this process is convoluted, well, you'd be totally right. However, if you're in a pinch and simply need a browser on your PS5 to watch "something" on your TV, this is the quickest way to make it happen.
