It's not really Nothing -- it's something, if you're a fan of the design-focused brand.

CMF Headphone Pro

The CMF Headphone Pro is the brand's first over-hear headphones.

CMF

Just two years after launching its first earbuds, the CMF by Nothing design-focused tech brand is now going over-the-ear with the CMF Headphone Pro. The Headphone Pro costs less than $100 and comes in dark gray, light gray and light green. The design is a bit more streamlined than the Nothing Headphones that CNET reviewed positively earlier this year.

CMF and its parent, Nothing, successfully squeezed into a tech sector dominated by Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme and OnePlus. Nothing was the fastest-growing smartphone brand in India in 2024.

The CMF Headphone Pro allows for up to 100 hours of playback -- more than four days straight -- or 50 hours for calls, the company said. After the battery dies, a 5-minute charge-up will give you four quick hours of playback time. You can also charge the headphones by attaching a USB-C cable to your smartphone.

The headphones feature 40mm nickel-plated drivers and support Hi-Res and LDAC for high-fidelity wireless streaming at up to 990kbps. An Energy Slider varies the levels of bass output. An AI-powered shortcut helps users access ChatGPT, control listening modes and operate the microphone.

Ear pads are also interchangeable if you want to mix and match colors.

YouTuber Austin Evans of Overstock Media says he didn't take Nothing and CMF seriously at first, but that they have "really performed against the odds."

"They've steadily delivered high-quality, unique phones and audio gear," Evans told CNET. "It's clear they're a design-first company, which I appreciate. You get legitimately unique style that punches far above what you'd expect for the budget."
