YouTube TV getting HBO in spring, HBO Max in May

Game of Thrones fans will be able to watch HBO through the YouTube TV service this spring (not winter, as you might expect).

HBO is coming.

Live TV streaming service YouTube TV has announced that premium channels HBO and Cinemax will be is coming to its service this spring. 

AT&T and YouTube TV announced this morning that its newly expanded carriage agreement will also include HBO Max when it debuts in May.

In a tweet from its YouTube TV account the company said: "We're feeling pret-tay, pret-tay good about this news we have to share with you... @HBO is coming to YouTube TV this spring. Welcome to the family!" 

HBO will debut the third season of Westworld on March 15 and it's also home to shows such as Succession, Watchmen and Barry.

Unlike AT&T TV Now which includes HBO as part of the price, YouTube will offer the new services as add-ons as it does with Showtime and Epix. While pricing is yet to be confirmed, this could potentially bring the price of YouTube TV + HBO to $65 per month, for example.

YouTube TV is a live TV streaming service that enables users to watch live and on-demand TV from over 70 channels as well as record them to the unlimited DVR.

Meanwhile, HBO has a decent deal at the moment -- $9.99 a month for the first three months, and $14.99 after, if you subscribe via Amazon Video. The offer ends Feb. 23.
